KandiCare Shield is a VoIP-based privacy phone number service operated by KandiCare ("we," "us," or "our") at kandicare.com. The service provides subscribers with a dedicated US phone number that routes incoming calls through an interactive voice response (IVR) system, forwarding approved calls to the subscriber's real phone number while keeping that number private.

By subscribing to KandiCare Shield, you agree to these Terms of Service in full. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
KandiCare Shield is offered as a recurring subscription. Current pricing:
Subscriptions are billed in advance at the start of each billing period. Payment is processed securely through Stripe. By providing payment information, you authorize KandiCare to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.
Prices are in US dollars and are subject to change. We will provide at least 30 days' notice before any price increase takes effect for existing subscribers.
Your Shield number is provisioned at the time of signup and assigned to your account. Numbers are non-transferable between accounts.
You agree to use KandiCare Shield only for lawful purposes. The following are strictly prohibited:
KandiCare reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account found to be in violation of this policy without prior notice. We may also report illegal activity to appropriate authorities.
We strive to maintain high availability of the Shield service. However, the service is provided on a best-effort basis and we do not guarantee any specific uptime or service level. Interruptions may occur due to:
We are not liable for any loss, cost, or damage arising from service interruptions or unavailability.
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account dashboard or by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access to the service through that date.
No refunds are issued for the current billing period. We do not provide partial refunds or prorated credits for unused time within a billing cycle.
Upon cancellation, your Shield number will be released and may be reassigned to another user. We are not responsible for any calls or messages directed to that number after your service ends.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, KandiCare and its officers, employees, agents, and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the service.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from the service shall not exceed the total amount paid by you to KandiCare in the three (3) months preceding the claim.
The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in a court of competent jurisdiction, as agreed upon by both parties.
KandiCare reserves the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on the service. Your continued use of KandiCare Shield after the effective date of the updated terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
