1 Data We Collect
When you use KandiCare Shield, we collect the following types of information:
- Account information: Your first and last name, email address, and hashed password
- Phone numbers: Your Shield number (assigned to you) and your real forwarding phone number(s)
- Payment information: Billing details are handled directly by Stripe — we store only your Stripe customer ID and subscription ID, not your raw card data
- Call metadata: Logs of calls routed through your Shield number (caller ID, timestamp, duration, keypress selection) for service operation
- SMS metadata: Logs of text messages forwarded through your Shield number if SMS forwarding is enabled
- Preferred area code: Collected at signup to provision your Shield number
- IVR settings: Your custom prompt messages and call-forwarding configuration stored in your account
2 How We Use Your Data
We use the information we collect solely to provide and improve the KandiCare Shield service:
- To provision and manage your Shield phone number
- To route incoming calls and SMS messages according to your settings
- To process your subscription payments through Stripe
- To send you transactional emails (account confirmations, password resets, billing receipts)
- To diagnose technical issues and maintain service reliability
- To comply with applicable laws and regulations
We do not use your data for advertising, marketing profiling, or any purpose unrelated to providing the service.
3 Third-Party Services
KandiCare Shield relies on the following third-party providers to operate. Each has its own privacy practices:
Twilio
Provides VoIP infrastructure for call routing and SMS forwarding. Twilio processes call metadata and message content as part of delivering the service. See

Stripe
Processes all subscription payments. Stripe handles your payment card data directly — we never see or store your full card number. See
Stripe's Privacy Policy.
Hostinger
Web hosting provider where our application and database are hosted. Your account data is stored on servers managed by Hostinger.
We do not share your personal data with any other third parties except as required by law.
4 Call & SMS Data
KandiCare Shield routes calls and text messages through your Shield number. In doing so:
- Call metadata (caller ID, timestamp, duration, IVR keypress) is logged for service operation and troubleshooting
- We do not record the audio content of calls
- If SMS forwarding is enabled, message content passes through Twilio's infrastructure to reach your real number — we do not store the content of SMS messages
- Callers' phone numbers that reach your Shield number may be visible to you in call logs
Your real forwarding number is never disclosed to callers or visible outside your account dashboard.
5 Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your subscription is active. Upon cancellation:
- Your account data is retained for 90 days after cancellation to allow for account recovery
- After 90 days, your personal data is deleted from our active systems
- Call metadata logs may be retained for up to 12 months for compliance and fraud prevention purposes
- Stripe retains billing records in accordance with their own retention policies
You may request earlier deletion of your data by contacting us at kanditoken@gmail.com.
6 Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correction: Update incorrect or incomplete information via your dashboard or by contacting us
- Deletion: Request that we delete your personal data (subject to legal retention obligations)
- Portability: Request your data in a portable format
- Objection: Object to certain processing of your data

7 We Do Not Sell Your Data
KandiCare does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party — ever. Our business model is subscription-based. Your data is used only to provide the service you pay for.
We do not share your name, email, phone numbers, or any other personal information with advertisers, data brokers, or marketing companies.
8 Cookie Policy
KandiCare Shield uses only functional cookies necessary to operate the service:
- Session cookies: Used to keep you logged in to your dashboard during your visit. These expire when you close your browser or click Sign Out.
We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics cookies. No cookies are shared with advertising networks.
